Talk about it…..

South-Side Chicago and the Olympics:

Let’s talk about it…

Elle’s view on Chicago’s Olympics is eerily accurate. Why is it that, and I do not say this lightly, Chicago’s interest in the South-Side, as a city, did not gain momentum until the Olypics were on the horizon? I understand capitalizing on lucrative ideas, but a lucrative idea shouldn’t have a byproduct of making ‘things better.’ (The sad part is that I only searched Dogpile.com for: ‘things better’ chicago Olympics and this is what I got!) The ‘goal’ should be to make things better and the lucrative opportunity should come from that!

The transparency of the obvious should not be obscured by DOLLARS!

Educate yourself, allow room for argument, then buckle down!

I can only be inspired

One of the most beautiful people I’ve met since I’ve moved to Chicago, Don, has a beauty in his voice that is best seen in his blog entry recounting a moment when living in L.A. is lonely. He and his partner are wonderful people that I’m glad to have met since I left home. I’m just lucky enough to know them and wanted the world to know that.

It does seem like a hard decision, but it’s not.

Kevin and Don know that.
